Winners and losers from the 2020 F1 season

Image
Despite having late start, the 2020 Formula 1 world championship have created some biggest winners and losers, and here are my pick: 1. Winners: Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen The big three dominated the season with more wins and podiums than other drivers. Hamilton has more wins and podiums (11 wins and 14 podiums) than his rivals Bottas (2 wins and 11 podiums) and Verstappen (2 wins and 11 podiums) to secure his seventh world title. The Mercedes drivers also traded more pole positions than other teams 2. Losers: Charles Leclerc, Sebastian Vettel and George Russell Those drivers started the season very poor, but they attempted to score more points but lesser podiums than the big three above. 3. Winners: Mercedes, Red Bull, McLaren, Renault and Racing Point These constructors have shown so many progresses and advantage for their own cars, developing their cars which accelerate faster and higher performances than the 2019 season. 4. Losers: Ferrari-powere...

How did Romain Grosjean learn from Niki Lauda's 1976 German Grand Prix incident?

Image
The 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix race won by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, was headlined by the huge opening lap incident involving Haas driver Romain Grosjean, who survived from the incident after hitted the barrier heavily. The French driver is currently hospitalized for further treatment in the hospital near Sakhir circuit.  Grosjean's incident at Sakhir reminds F1 fans to what similarly happened to Niki Lauda in the 1976 German Grand Prix, when Lauda was stuck in his burned car, and later being saved by three drivers (including Guy Edwards and Brett Lunger) who saved him (Lauda). Because of major injuries sustained in that incident, Lauda then missed two races before returning at Italian Grand Prix. The 'halo' in most recent F1 cockpit has successfully saved Grosjean's life. He instantly got out from his burned car soon after he knew his car being burned. From this case, I think Grosjean had learnt from Lauda's 1976 incident. Get well soon R...
