Mercedes-EQ ready to hit Indonesian EV market
JAKARTA – On December 8, 2022, PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia (MBDI) officially launched the Mercedes-EQ brand that mostly focussed for electric vehicles production like the EQA, EQC, EQE, and EQS. For the Indonesian market, only EQE 350+ and EQS 450+ models to be available. "Mercedes-Benz has always prioritized sustainabilities, so we have vision to present the zero-emission vehicles. The vision, namely Mercedes-Benz Ambition, is where we will highly expected to be neutral CO2 by 2039. At the end of this decade, we will fully working to produce and enlarge sales for electric vehicles for possible locations" said Choi Duk Jun, President Director of PT MBDI. The EQE 350+ and EQS 450+ will be assembled locally at its Wanaherang factory in Bogor, West Java.
