Grosjean to leave hospital today (Tuesday), Fittipaldi to replace Grosjean for the final two races of the season

Romain Grosjean will leave the Sakhir hospital, Bahrain, today (Dec 1) to fly to his home country (France) for further recoveries from injuries he sustained in the horrible crash at Bahrain Grand Prix at Sakhir International circuit last Sunday (Nov 29).

The Haas team announced on Monday (Nov 30) that Grosjean will not able to participate for the final two races of the season (Sakhir and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix) and will be replaced by the team's reserve driver Pietro Fittipaldi, who currently raced in Formula 3 Asian Championship.

Fittipaldi, who has been part of the Haas testing team since 2018 will make his Formula 1 grand prix debut this Friday (Dec 4) at Sakhir Outer Track circuit. The Brazilian driver is known as grandson of former Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi.
