How to improve Joker's romance with female confidants in Persona 5 Royal?

TOKYO – Have you heard the recent news that former Disney star Dove Cameron has officially got married with Damiano David? It all began from their first meet in late 2023, and then their relationship became more serious until they got engaged in January 2026, and eventually got married in September 2026, in Italy. Persona 5 also had the similar things as well: if Joker max confidant ranks of any female confidant, he will eventually began romantic relationship with one of them, and eventually got engaged and later got married. So here's how Joker can romance with each of female confidants.


1. Makoto Niijima
Makoto is the perfect dating partner for Joker. After completing maximum confidant ranks with Makoto, choose "I love you" to Makoto, and she will awaken her 2nd and 3rd personas Anat and Agnes respectively. At the end of the game, Makoto gifted a Buchi Calculator for Joker, which unlocks Shadow Factorization in New Game Plus playthrough.

2. Ann Takamaki
If you're dating Ann after completing maximum confidant ranks, choose "I love you" to her, and she will awakened her 2nd and 3rd personas Hecate and Celestine. At the end of the game, Ann gifted a fashion magazine for Joker, which unlocks Ann's sexy technique and crocodile tears in NG+ playthrough.

3. Futaba Sakura
You can romance Sojiro's adopted daughter after maxing her confidant ranks, and her 2nd and 3rd personas Prometheus and Al-Azif will be awakened. At the end of the game, Futaba gives Joker her promise list which unlocks mementos scan and palace treasure chest detector in NG+ playthrough.

4. Haru Okumura
To start Haru's relationship, must required her maximum confidant ranks and Haru's stronger personas will be awakened. 

5. Sumire Yoshizawa
Sumire can be romanced in third semester and she will awakened her stronger personas before facing Maruki's boss fight.
