[BREAKING] F1 team owner Eddie Jordan passes away at 76
Dublin – One of Formula One's legendary team founder and owner of the Jordan Racing Team, Edmund Patrick Jordan has passed away at the age of 76 years old in Cape Town, South Africa on Wednesday evening (March 19, 2025). Jordan was recognized as one of the successful F1 team owner from late 1980s to early 2000s for his own team Jordan GP Team.
Jordan and his Jordan GP Team helped to carry the success for winning some F1 races from mid 1990s to early 2000s; most notably the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix, where the team finished one-two in a race that disrupted by multiple incidents and heavy rain. After the team dissolved in 2005, Jordan then sold the team to Vijay Mallya into the Spyker Force India team in 2007.
After his fought against cancer in early 2024 as Jordan's family announced in December 2024. Jordan passes away.
