- Design

The Mercedes-AMG S63 E-Performance is the perfomance-oriented version of the W223 S-Class that shares the same design as the regular S-Class. The AMG steering wheel now includes the AMG driving mode switch knob, which also seen on other AMG models like GT Black Series and Formula 1-based hypercar AMG ONE. The interior is similar to the regular S-Class, only equipped with with AMG seat leathers and newly improved MBUX infotainment system with AMG Track Pace.

- Performance

The engine is carried from the previous W222 S63 (4,0L V8 twin-turbo that boasts 603 hp and 900 Nm), in addition with 190 hp and 320 Nm of electric motor for engine efficiency (total 793 hp and 1430 Nm). The 2023 Mercedes-AMG S63 sprints from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds, 0.3 seconds faster than its predecessor, with top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h (290 km/h with AMG Driver's Package). The engine is mated with a nine-speed automatic 9G-Tronic AMG Speedshift dual clutch transmission for better responsive gear changes (plus one-speed CVT automatic transmission from EQS for electric driving modes), and a 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system that enables the car to drive at any road conditions.

- Safety features

The safety features for the Mercedes-AMG S63 E-Performance are derived from safety features from S 450, S500, S580 and Maybach S580, including active lane keeping assist (LKAS), active lane departure warning, active blindspot assist, active DISTRONIC, Attention Assist that prevent driver from sleeping while driving and other accident preventions, parking assists, etc.

With DRIVE PILOT* (available on gasoline W223 S-Class models: S 450, S 500, S 580, Maybach S 680 and AMG S63 E-Performance), you can feel free to watch favorite movies like Spider-Man, Mission: Impossible, Descendants, Fast & Furious; update your social media status, or doing some kind of "carpool karaoke" or CARscendants (Descendants-style "carpool karaoke"), but be careful to take over your steering wheel when this self-driving mode deactivated at the end of its certained range.

*SAE Level 3: the automated driving function takes over certain driving tasks. However, a driver is still required. The driver must be ready to take control of the vehicle at all times when prompted to intervene by the vehicle.
