Louriza Tronco's career highlights so far: from Make It Pop to Drinkwater
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Turning 29 years old today, Canadian actress Louriza Tronco has enjoyed her excellence of her acting career over the past ten years. Her breakthrough lead roles as Jodi Mapa in Nickelodeon's hit drama series Make It Pop (2015-16) and as Gabrielle Dupres in Netflix's hit drama series The Order (2019-20), making her one of the breakout actresses in North America today. Here are Louriza Tronco's incredible acting career highlights so far.
- Before Make It Pop
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba as the youngest of three siblings in her Filipino family, Louriza began her acting career at age of eight while performing in Rainbow Stage's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as part of the children's choir. In school she juggled dance competitions, school plays, and part-time jobs. At age 18, she graduated from high school and went to the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, British Columbia. While attending college six days a week, she regularly traveled to Vancouver for auditions.
During an interview, Louriza said that she given her first name by her parents from her parents' grandmothers: Loudres and Rizalina.
Louriza made her television acting debut by starring in the 2013 drama Cult.
- During Make It Pop
In 2014, Louriza starred in a Disney Original Film titled Zapped, which co-stars Zendaya. In 2015, Louriza was named as one of the lead stars for Nickelodeon hit drama Make It Pop alongside Dale Whibley and Alexander Eling, where she starred as Jodi Mapa, a high school freshwoman who achieved her dream as a fashion designer. By the time starring in Make It Pop, Louriza was in the peak of her acting career. Make It Pop became the 2nd most watched teen drama throughout late 2010s (only behind Disney Channel's K.C. Undercover which stars Zendaya who later gained more fame in Marvel Cinematic Universe era of SpiderMan films as MJ). Aside of Make It Pop, Louriza was also cast in other drama series, including Ties That Bind and The Other Kingdom.
- After Make It Pop and during The Order
Louriza starred in the mini-drama web series titled Spiral in 2017 where she starred as Grace. She also starred as Lacey Evans in Mystery 101 (2018).
In 2019, Louriza Tronco, alongside Sarah Grey and Jake Manley confirmed to star in a Netflix hit drama The Order, which similar to Make It Pop aired in two seasons. In The Order, Louriza starred as Gabrielle Dupres, an acolyte in the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose.
- After The Order
Louriza Tronco continues her outstanding breakthrough career as an actress throughout 2020s. In 2021, she starred in her first feature film titled Drinkwater, where she starred as Wallace Owens, love interest for Mike Drinkwater (Daniel Doheny), son of Cold War veteran Hank Drinkwater (Eric McCormack).
