Smith snatches 2nd win of the season at The Players Championship

PONTE VEDRA, FL –Australian golfer Cameron Smith captures his first biggest win of his career after a dramatic Monday finish in the 2022 Players Championship, held at TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida from March 11-14, 2022. Smith became the sixth Australian player to win the PGA Tour's flagship event, joining the likes of Steve Elkington, Greg Norman, Craig Perks, Adam Scott and Jason Day.

After winning US$3,6 million prize at The Players, Smith now eyes for his first major win on next month's Masters Tournament at Augusta National, where he finished runner-up in 2020. With this 2nd win of the 2021-22 season, Smith jumped to 2nd in the current FedEx Cup standings behind Scottie Scheffler.

Elmont, NY – The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards is the 41st annual running of the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) since its inaugural edition in 1984. It also marks the 40th anniversary of the VMAs. The 2024 edition held in UBS Arena in New York, was originally to be scheduled on Tuesday September 10, however the event pushed back one day to Wednesday September 11, the day after 2024 U.S. Presiential election's second debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
