Lee Jieun, better known with her stage name IU released her fifth studio album Lilac. The album released as her reaction to her rival Chungha who released her studio album Querencia in February.

The album spawned two lead singles: "Celebrity" and "Lilac". This is the first album that all of the songs mostly written and composed by IU herself compared to her previous albums.
