Meet Jo Byeong-gyu, the young uprising K-drama actor

24 year-old Korean actor Jo Byeong-gyu currently rose his popularity as an actor, courtesy of making lead roles in dramas "Hot Stove League" (2020) and more recently "The Uncanny Counter" (2020)

Byeong-gyu's rise of his popularity as an actor began in 2015 when he made his acting debut on drama "School 2015". He then made supporting roles in more dramas, including "The K2" (2016), "1979's Girls Generation" (2017) and "Sky Castle" (2018).

He also starred in a web drama film "Dokgo Rewind" in 2018 alongside EXO's Oh Sehun and Gugudan's Kang Mina.

In 2020, Byeong-gyu starred in two dramas "Hot Stove League" and "The Uncanny Counter", both taking lead roles. As the result of his acting performances, Byeong-gyu won the Best New Actor category at the 2020 SBS Drama Awards, his first award as an actor.
