Dove Cameron's five iconic television roles

American actress, singer-songwriter and model Dove Cameron has established her acting career since 2012. Her most successful ones was her dual role as twins Liv and Maddie Rooney in a Disney Channel hit show Liv and Maddie (2013-2017). In this article, we break down Dove Cameron's iconic roles in any television series and movies in her current career.


1. Charlotte Anne Jane (The Mentalist, 2012)
Charlotte Anne Jane is a deceased/murdered daughter of LAPD cop Patrick Jane (Simon Baker). In the episode "Devil's Cherry", Charlotte offered her father to investigate who killed her in the past.

2. Olivia Rooney (Liv and Maddie, 2013-2017)
Olivia Rooney is a musical actress from Stevens Point, Wisconsin who best known for her role as Stephanie Einstein in her show called Sing It Loud!. After four years in Hollywood, Liv returns home to her family, where she met her twin sister Madison (Maddie, also played by Dove), her brothers Joey (Joey Bragg) and Parker (Tenzing Norgay Trainor) and her parents Pete (Benjamin King) and Karen (Kali Rocha). There she's schooled at Ridgewood High School with her siblings. Because of her successful acting career, Liv offered to star in series and movies like Space Werewolves as Tristan and Voltage as Skyvolt. In the season 3 finale, Liv is furious with her twin sister Maddie after she (Maddie) got her basketball scholarship from SCSU, forcing Liv to let Maddie go to California without saying goodbye. In the end, Liv gets after Maddie to California to apologize. Both twins accepted the apologies and, they two ended up staying in California with their family.

3. Mal Bertha (Descendants, 2015-2021)
Mal Bertha is a daughter of a Disney villain Maleficent who came from Isle Of The Lost. She got schooled at Auradon with her fellow villain kids Evie Grimhilde (Sofia Carson), Jay (Booboo Stewart) and Carlos De Vil (Cameron Boyce). There at Auradon, she started to fell in love with Prince Benjamin (Mitchell Hope), son of King Beast and Queen Belle, who will be crowned as the new king of Auradon. Mal's relationship with Ben was struck between Uma (China McClain from ANT Farm) and Princess Audrey (Sarah Jeffery from upcoming new season of Charmed), the latter (Audrey) being Ben's love interest in the past. Mal married with Ben after she became the new queen of Auradon.

4. Ruby Hale (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., 2018)
Ruby Hale is a daughter of General Hale (Catherine Dent) who educated at HYDRA. Ruby's mission is to get the Gravitonium before the S.H.I.E.L.D. members, so she fought against the likes of Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez (Natalia Cordova Buckley), Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), Daisy "Quake" Johnson (Chloe Bennet), Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), Werner Von Strucker (TBA) and Carl Creel (TBA) with her own weapon. After experimenting Gravitonium, Ruby got herself under control, so her mother Hale went to calm down her daughter (Ruby), only before Yo-Yo murdered Ruby with her own (Ruby's) weapon. After Ruby's death, the Gravitonium is being shut down by the S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as Hale being killed by Hale's arch nemesis Glenn Talbot.

Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs new episodes Friday nights on ABC.

5. Betsy McDonough (Schmigadoon, 2021)
Betsy is a young woman who loves classical music, she grew up from her family of farmers.
