One of Disney Channel's hit shows in mid-2010s, Liv & Maddie delivers not only joy of the Rooney family (Liv, Maddie, Joey, Parker, Ruby, and their parents Karen and Pete), but also brings dramatic moments in every episode. So here we countdown top ten Liv & Maddie's most dramatic moments.

NOTE: This article contains spoilers and goofs.

10. Liv won the driver's license but Maddie failed
The reason why Maddie (Shelby Wulfert/Dove Cameron) failed, because Maddie thought that she accidentally crashed her car into her family's house.
9. Liv's crush with Holden
Liv (Dove Cameron/Emmy Buckner) found herself in a kissing scene with Holden (Jordan Fisher) while performing "True Love" together.
8. Helga crashed Halloween party
After finished her basketball training, Maddie suddenly turned into Helga and attempted to kill Liv. The fact is that Dove Cameron's fellow Descendants co-star Sarah Jeffery is used to portray Helga. During an interview, Sarah said that her role as Helga in Liv & Maddie is her learning curve for her villain role as Princess Audrey in Descendants film series. And Sarah also added that when Cameron Boyce came to Liv & Maddie as Krahgg, it was also his learning path for his role as Carlos De Vil (son of Cruella, and one of the VKs alongside Mal who portrayed by Dove Cameron) in Descendants film series.
7. Liv and Maddie met Grandma Janice and Great-Aunt Hilary
The crossover episode of Liv & Maddie and The Patty Duke Show saw Liv stays with Janice, while Maddie is in hands of Hilary.
6. Skyvolt saves the day
Tess (Liv Rooney/Dove Cameron) must to save her boyfriend Garrison (Josh Wilcox/Lucas B. Adams) by facing her enemy, but after saved her boyfriend from enemies' threats, Tess lost her power and died. Her Skyvolt's power and ablility was transferred to Garrison.
5. Sisters by chance, friends by choice
This became Liv and Maddie's lifetime promise, as they always to keep each other. But in the first episode of Cali Style, when Ruby (Lauren Lindsey Donzis) joined the family, Ruby said the promise and became Liv and Maddie's new sister.
4. Fangs signals threats to Liv & Maddie
Left: Laura Marano in 2014 portraying Fangs in Liv & Maddie; right: Marano in 2022 performing at her Us Tour.

An unknown lunatic person with dirty dress like George Of The Jungle, identified as Fangs (Laura Marano) came to the Rooneys' house and attempted to steal Liv's money from her "Sing It Loud!" performance. However, Liv forgived Fangs after seeing her (Fangs) book of devastation and frustration. Then Fangs confessed to Liv that she (Fangs) spend her poverty life by writting her devastating words. Fangs also told the Rooneys and the other Ridgewood high school students that she was an orphan since her parents (mom & dad) died in 1998. Her grandparents were also died during Cold War; Liv told Fangs that her grandpa was also killed during Cold War, leaving Grandma Janice and Hilary only to be survived from Cold War. So, Karen (Kali Rocha) helps Liv (Cameron) and Joey (Joey Bragg) to enroll Fangs into a proper high school to educate Fangs better. In order to get high school enrollment, Fangs must face Liv in a three-point shootout contest held by Maddie. Later, Fangs joined the crew for the production of Liv's drama Space Werewolf, where Fangs served her job as creative director. This episode is unrelated with Liv & Maddie and Austin & Ally crossover episode, where Marano is supposed to play her Ally Dawson's character, and Cameron playing her character Bobbie used in Austin & Ally episode.
3. Liv loses her singing voices
Liv rehearses for her long-dreamed Broadway performance. However, her dream's realization turned into disaster after Liv suffered bronchitis and muscle tension dysphonia, which caused Liv unable to sing for the rest of her life and career. Then, she and her mom Karen called out Tracy (Lauren Bell-Bundy) to recover her singing voices, but it ended up failure. Compared to a Nickelodeon's hit drama Make It Pop on episode "I Can't Hear Me" where lead character Sun-Hi also lost her singing voices when rehearsing but recovered while performing on stage; it seems that Liv's losing singing voices is much worse than Sun-Hi who consulted to doctor for recovering her singing voices; while Liv didn't use doctor's advice for recovery.
2. Maddie's love triangle
Maddie's first crush was Diggie (Ryan McCartan), they became captain for their high school's men's and women's basketball teams respectively. Later in New Year's Eve event, Liv said to reporter that she (Liv) had kissed Diggie (Maddie's boyfriend). After discovered that Liv is with Diggie, Maddie then dated Josh (Lucas Brentley Adams), overrated baseball player and Liv's co-star in Voltage. However, Maddie's relationship with Josh is being caught up by Diggie, who just broke up with Liv after Liv kissed Holden. This led Maddie into a decision: will she stay with Diggie or Josh? This decision could also broke Maddie's heart.

Josh: Maddie, we got a problem.
Maddie: What? No, there's no problem, everything's fine and okay.
Josh: Everything's not fine. I heard you and Diggie got engaged, is it true?
Maddie: No, we just talking about our basketball game.
Josh: Then, what about this? (Josh shows Maddie a video that Diggie wants to marry Maddie and Maddie said yes to Diggie, recorded by one of Ridgewood students)
Maddie: No, it's just....
Josh: What have you done to me, Maddie??? Are you breaking my heart???
Maddie: No, I just.....
Josh: WE ARE OFFICIALLY END!!! Don't ever see me again FOREVER!!!! WE'RE OFFICIALLY BROKE UP!!!! (Josh leaves Maddie)
Maddie: NO!!!! Josh, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!!!! (Maddie emotionally cried after Josh leaves Maddie)
Maddie: I'm really sorry, Josh.....
Meanwhile, real life Josh (Lucas Adams) recently married real life Maddie's double/Heather (Shelby Wulfert), so this means that Maddie has chosen Josh to stay on her side.
1. The destruction of Rooneys' Wisconsin house.
Pete has just being appointed as a basketball team coach in his high school. Meanwhile, the Russian military forces who came to protest President Obama for stepping down from his presidency invaded the whole state, including Wisconsin. Knew that the Russian soldiers are about to destroy their house, Karen, Liv, Maddie, Joey and Parker must to evacuate themselves from danger of their house being destructed by the Russian armed forces. The family saved from the attack, however their house didn't. Soon after their Wisconsin house being destructed, the family flew to California state for the new beginning, with Liv's Californian university scholarship. There, the family resided in Dena's (Karen's sister) house. According to Karen, Dena (Jolie Jenkins) moved to California since Karen's marriage with Pete. Dena lives with her daughter Ruby who later became sorta sister for Liv and Maddie. Dena also told Karen that Liv once lived there during her "Sing It Loud!" performances.

The next day, Diggie, Josh and Willow visited the destructed Rooney family's house, which been attached the "police line" by FBI, SWAT, NCIS and local police department. Later, Josh and Diggie phoned Liv and Maddie, but it can't ring; while Willow called Karen, asking where are the Rooneys now, Willow realized that the Rooneys are in California, and so Willow flew to California with Diggie, except Josh, who decided to stay at Wisconsin.

Later in the afternoon, FBI agent Alex Parrish visited the demolished Rooneys' house with her crews, then she found a piece of Liv's hair and brought it for classification at FBI headquarters (Quantico). The team also identified the weapon the Russians used to destroy the Rooney family's house, and one of FBI agents told Alex that the Rooney family members survived from the Russian attacks and later being escorted to California.

The following day, Angus MacGyver (Lucas Till), Jack Dalton (George Eards) and their team visited the destroyed Rooney's family house for further investigations.

Meanwhile in California, former CBI agents Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) visited the Rooneys' Californian house, congratulating the Rooney family for surviving from Russian attacks. Then, Patrick goes for a beach walk with the twins Liv and Maddie (Liv asked Patrick about how's Patrick enjoying his life without his wife Angela and daughter Charlotte), while Teresa interrogates the other Rooneys: Karen, Joey, Parker, Dena and Ruby. Not to be related as the continuation from The Mentalist episode "Devil's Cherry" which starred Dove Cameron who portrayed Patrick's daughter Charlotte. Dove proposed her role as Charlotte at the early production in 2008, but it was later dropped before the series premiere of The Mentalist in September 2008; Dove is 12 years old and too young.

A week after the Rooneys' Wisconsin house being destructed, detectives Megan Walsh and Liz Larson visited the house, and Liz told Megan that there are secret tunnels inside the Rooneys' Wisconsin house. Then, Liz found Liv's number, Liz called Liv and realize that the Rooneys are currently living in California. Arriving to California, Liz and Megan visited Patrick Jane's office. Later that evening, Liz stayed at the Rooneys' California house while Megan stayed at Teresa Lisbon's house.

In the final episode of Cali Style "End-A-Rooney", it was revealed by Karen that their Wisconsin house is being rebuilt/renovated. The following year in 2018, Dominic Toretto and his crew bought the Rooneys' Wisconsin house, and as of now, it currently became house for Dom and his crew (Letty, Mia, Tej, Roman and Ramsey), except Jakob who stays in California in order to protect the Rooney family. Later, it was revealed by Dom and Letty that the Rooneys' Wisconsin house is being destructed by Deckard Shaw who had also destroyed Dom's home in Furious 7
