2022 Roland Garros singles final preview

PARIS – King of clay Rafael Nadal is ready to reclaim his French Open/Roland Garros crown, as he faces rookie sensation Casper Ruud in this Sunday's men's singles final. Meanwhile, 2020 champion, and WTA's current world number one, Iga Swiatek will battle Coco Gauff for the women's title. Here are some preview ahead of this weekend's Roland Garros singles finals!

The Roland Garros crowd will be delighted to see their favorite player Nadal back onto Roland Garros finals for another consecutive years. But this time, the Spaniard will fight for his 14th title against young sensation Casper Ruud, who suprisingly defeated top players like Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem, Stefanos Tsitsipas and home favorite Jo Wilfred Tsonga. The Norwegian rising superstar had won the Geneva Open and Argentina Open (ATP 250 tournament) earlier this year, while the lefty Spaniard legendary player is looking to set his record-breaking Roland-Garros men's title.

Already crowned the new world number one following Ashleigh Barty's official career retirement, Iga Swiatek now eyes for her 2nd Roland Garros triumph, as the Polish superstar takes on American sensation Coco Gauff in the final.
