2021 Brazilian Grand Prix - Hamilton edges Verstappen in a much-needed victory at Interlagos
SAO PAULO – Lewis Hamilton shows his incredible fight to keep his title battle against Max Verstappen continued until Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. And at the Brazilian GP held at Interlagos circuit, the Mercedes driver who started from 10th on the grid (based from sprint race results) battles not only Verstappen, but also his teammate Valtteri Bottas as well as Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez.
Hamilton's journey to win his 101st career race at Interlagos is tough, as he faced grid penalty for Saturday's sprint race due to rear wing infringement. After finished fifth in the sprint race, Hamilton changed another engine unit, which forced the British driver to start the main race from 10th on the grid. Incredibly, Hamilton battled title rival Verstappen and overtook the Red Bull Racing driver on lap 48.
Championship leader Verstappen still leads the championship after Brazil, as the Dutchman awares the late attack from his title rival Hamilton in the final three races of the season.
With three races remaining, Hamilton heads to Middle East chasing Verstappen by 14 points.
