Golf at 2020 Tokyo Olympics - Team USA won two gold medals courtesy of Schauffele and Korda

Team USA have become one of the strongest nations (alongside team China) to win any medal (gold, silver and bronze) in any sports they competed at 2020 Tokyo Olympics, especially golf.

1. Men
Xander Schauffele won gold medal for team USA after scoring 18 under par and won by one stroke ahead of silver medalist Rory Sabbatini of Slovakia (-17) who shot course record in the final round. Pan Cheng Tsung of Chinese Taipei earned bronze medal after defeating another team USA player Collin Morikawa in the fourth playoff hole.

"I dedicated this gold medal to my country and my family", said Schauffele on his Twitter post.

2. Women
Nelly Korda adds another gold medal for team USA after scoring 17 under par and won by one stroke ahead of Mone Inami of Japan and former world number one Lydia Ko of New Zealand. Inami won silver medal after beating Ko in a sudden-death playoff.

This gold medal win at Olympics became Nelly's second biggest win in her LPGA Tour career, after she won her first major title at Women's PGA Championship at Atlanta, Georgia last June. Nelly's older sister, Jessica, was unable to compete at Olympics due to injury, but Jessica still supported Nelly to win gold medal for team USA.

- Medal standings
As of August 7 (day 15 of the Olympic Games), China still lead the medal standings based on most gold medal wins with 38 gold medals, team USA is 2nd with 36 gold medals and host Japan in third with 27 gold medals. South Korea currently ranked 15th with six gold medals, while Indonesia just placed 54th with one gold medal which achieved at badminton women's doubles match.
