After enjoying their greatest success with their seven previous studio albums from Parachutes (2000) to A Head Full of Dreams (2015), Coldplay returned with their eighth studio album Everyday Life, which was released worldwide by Parlophone and Warner Music Group on November 23, 2019. Similar to their third album X&Y (2005), the album has two sides: Sunrise and Sunset. This is also their first album recorded using the ultra high-definition Dolby Atmos surround sound system. Also in this album, frontman Chris Martin invited his daughter Apple and his son Moses to participate for the production of the album.

- "The Father's Song", also known internationally as "Daddy" features additional songwriting by Anthony J. Martin and Tim Champion.
- "Arabesque" features additional songwriting and composition by Femi Kuti.
- "Orphans" and "Champion Of The World" features additional songwriting and composition by Apple and Moses Martin. "Orphans" was originally recorded as an early version of their 2009 single "Lovers In Japan".
- "Cry Cry Cry" features additional songwriting and composition by Jacob Collier.
- "Bani Adam" features the voice of Dr. Shahrzad (Sherry) Sami reciting Persian poet Saadi Shirazi's poem of the same name in the Persian language.
- "Heaven" was taken from Avicii's final studio album Tim (2019), written by Chris Martin and Avicii.
- "Champion Of The World" was originally written as a song by Scott Hutchinson titled "Los Angeles, Be Kind".
