Las Vegas Strip Circuit track overview

Las Vegas, NV – Formula One returns to Las Vegas for the second annual Las Vegas Grand Prix for the 22nd round of the 2024 FIA Formula 1 World Championship to be held at Las Vegas Strip Circuit. The 3.8-mile street circuit made its debut into F1 calendar last year in 2023, when Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) won the race by beating Charles Leclerc (Scuderia Ferrari) and Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez. This time though, the reigning three-time world champion heads to this year's Las Vegas GP being threatened by his rival, McLaren driver Lando Norris.

- Track overview
Las Vegas Strip Circuit is located in between the middle of Las Vegas Strip famous landmarks like MGM Grand Garden Arena which famously hosted Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight of the century in May 2015 and T-Mobile Arena which hosted Mayweather vs. McGregor money fight in August 2017.

The Las Vegas Strip Circuit became the fifth street circuit throughout the 74-year F1 history after Monaco, Singapore, Jeddah Corniche and Miami. Designed by Hermann Tilke and his son Carsten under Tilke Autoracing Designs Inc., the 3.8 mile track consists of nine left and eight right corners (seventeen total corners). The drag reduction system (DRS) detection zones are located in three seperate areas of the circuit as overtaking hotspots: sector one on the first straight between turn 4-5; sector two on the long straight between turn 12-14; and the final sector between turn 16-17-start/finish line-1. Top speed can be reached up to 218 mph (350 km/h) with DRS activation.
