2024 WWE Survivor Series WarGames match card preview

Vancouver, British Columbia – The 2024 Survivor Series: WarGames is an upcoming professional wrestling event produced by the American pro-wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment, also known as WWE. It will be the 38th annual Survivor Series since its inaugural edition in 1987 and will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The event will air via pay-per-view (PPV) and live-streaming and will feature wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This will be the third annual Survivor Series based around the WarGames match, a team-based steel cage match where the roofless cage surrounds two rings placed side by side which introduced in 2022.

This will be the first Survivor Series to take place in Vancouver and WWE's first PPV event held in the city and venue since Rock Bottom: In Your House in 1998. It will subsequently be the third Survivor Series event held in Canada, after 1997 in Montreal and 2016 in Toronto. This will also be WWE's final main roster PPV and livestreaming event to air on the WWE Network in international markets and Binge in Australia, with future PPV and livestreaming events airing on Netflix from January 2025 onwards. This will also be the second WWE PPV/Premium Live Event (PLE) in 2024 not to feature the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes who last appeared at the 2024 WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; the other being WWE Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia on February.

a. Main event (Survivor Series WarGames matches)
The main event will be the two traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series WarGames team matches. The men's Survivor Series WarGames match features the battle between villainous Bloodline stable which consists of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Bronson Reed, against the heroic squad consisting of Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso, CM Punk and Sami Zayn. In the women's Survivor Series WarGames match, Bianca Belair allies in a heroic force with Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Bayley and Naomi to battle against the villainous Judgement Day ladies consisting of Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Candice LeRae and current Money In The Bank contract holder Tiffany Stratton.

b. Championship matches
In the United States Championship title match, reigning champion LA Knight will defend his title against the returning Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura last won the U.S. title during the 2019 Royal Rumble kickoff, his second reign lasted just 48 hours. Nakamura's first reign as U.S. champion was in between July to November 2018 after defeating Jeff Hardy in 2018 Extreme Rules, thus becoming the second Japanese wrestler to win the U.S. title after Kensuke Sasaki in 1995. Meanwhile, Knight is still in unbeaten form as the reigning U.S. champion and undefeated in his title defenses following his victory against Logan Paul in SummerSlam.

The Intercontinental Championship title will be decided in a triple-threat match after a huge announcement by WWE Raw general manager Adam Pearce on November 25th episode of Monday Night Raw, as reigning Intercontinental champion Bron Breakker will defend his title against the returning Sheamus and the Imperium's member Ludwig Kaiser in a no-holds-barred triple-threat intercontinental title fight.

While Kaiser battles for the coveted Intercontinental crown, his Imperium boss Gunther will also defend his World Heavyweight Championship title against former Judgement Day member Damian Priest in a singles match for the title.
