2023 MTV Video Music Awards winners list: Taylor Swift wins big, Dove Cameron bags Video For Good win
Newark, NJ – The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) was the 40th annual MTV VMAs held at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday night, September 12, 2023. Pop megastar Taylor Swift (33) who is the most nominated singer with eleven categories, won nine of them, including Artist Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Video Of The Year and Album Of The Year. With those wins, Swift has won 23 career VMAs, surpassing Madonna with 20. Another pop superstar, Dove Cameron (27) won Video For Good category for her music video of "Breakfast". It marked the singer's 2nd VMAs win after winning the Best New Artist last year. Meanwhile, pop legend Shakira (46) is honored as the Video Vanguard winner, in addition of winning Best Collaboration.
Prudential Center became the host venue for the 40th annual MTV Video Music Awards in 2023. The venue has previously hosted the VMAs in 2019 and 2022.
