Brian Harman's major winning dream is realized at 2023 Open Championship

Merseyside, England – On Sunday, July 23, 36 year-old Georgia state native Brian Eric Harman captured his maiden major title at the 151st British Open Championship at Royal Liverpool Golf Club. It was his first PGA Tour win since his last at 2017 Wells Fargo Championship. He first came to Royal Liverpool in 2014 fresh off his maiden PGA Tour win at John Deere Classic, he finished T26th. He then said that when Royal Liverpool hosting the British Open next time (in 2023), he will gonna win there.

And in the 2023 British Open at Royal Liverpool, Harman (the dad of three kids from his current marriage with Kelly Harman) shows his flawless golf by shooting 67 in the opening round, 65 in second round, 69 in third round and a final round seventy, to win his maiden major by six strokes over pre-tournament favorites Jon Rahm and Tom Kim. Thus, Brian became the third lefty to win British Open, joining Bob Charles in 1963 and Phil Mickelson in 2013. Among other lefties to win a major title are Mike Weir and Bubba Watson who both won the Masters Tournament (Brian's best finish at Masters is T12th in 2021 as well as being joint runner-up at 2017 U.S. Open).
We also remember far before winning his maiden major title at 2023 British Open, Brian made two holes-in-one during the final round of 2015 Barclays. And just like last month in June, this July, golfing world once again produced other new major champions, with Allisen Corpuz winning her first major title (also her first LPGA Tour win) at 2023 U.S. Women's Open at Pebble Beach.
