2023 Wimbledon finals preview: Djokovic vs. Alcaraz & Jabeur vs. Vondrousova

London, England – The 2023 Wimbledon Championship taking place at the grass courts of Wimbledon (including the Centre Court [Center Court in North American spelling]) is reaching the climax this weekend. Record-breaker and world number-two Novak Djokovic will defend his title against current world number-one Carlos Alcaraz; while Ons Jabeur will get closer to history to become the first Turkish player to win grand slam title. So, who will win the 2023 Wimbledon Championship at the Centre Court?
1. Men's singles final: Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz
The 2023 Wimbledon final match between the current top two players in the world Djokovic and Alcaraz will be one of the most anticipated grand slam final matches this year in 2023.

This year, Novak Djokovic continues his strong performance, as the 36-year-old Serbian already won his tenth Australian Open and third Roland-Garros/French Open titles. But Djokovic's quest for his eighth Wimbledon title and a world number-one position are on the line, as he faces the current world number-one Carlos Alcaraz who won last year's US Open at Flushing Meadows, New York, and winning some of regular ATP tournaments this year. Both Djokovic and Alcaraz have met twice before, the two won those match-ups each other. Their previous meeting was at 2023 Roland-Garros semifinal, where Nole (Djokovic's nickname) defeated Alcaraz on his way to win his third French Open title. If Djokovic beats Alcaraz again, he will be the fourth player to win five consecutive Wimbledon titles in the Open era, joining the likes of Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras and Djokovic's former rival Roger Federer (2020 championship was canceled due to COVID-19 outbreak); thus winning his twenty-fourth Grand Slam title. Or, Alcaraz triumph will be the second Spaniard to win Wimbledon title in the Open era after king of clay Rafael Nadal.

2. Women's singles final: Ons Jabeur vs. Marketa Vondrousova
Is this the day Ons Jabeur make history at Wimbledon?

Last year's US Women's Open runner-up is determined to win grand slam, after her previous losses to current world number-one Iga Swiatek who won that year's (2022) US Women's Open title. But the 2023 Wimbledon final will see the Turkish phenom making history to win the grand slam, as she faces unseeded Marketa Vondrousova in the final match. Will we witness Jabeur as a grand slam champion for the first time?
