Road to Fast X: Fast & Furious signature cars

Fast X, the tenth film of the most popular Fast & Furious franchise, known as the Fast Saga, will be released in worldwide theaters in May 2023. Fast X will feature new and returning cars, as well as new and returning protagonists, and villains faced by Dominic Toretto and his crew. Ahead of the Fast X's release, in this article we will bring you some of the popular cars driven by main characters from the Fast & Furious franchise since its first inception in 2001.

1. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T

The 1970 Dodge Charger R/T is a car drove by Dominic Toretto since (or even before) its first inception of the Fast Saga, inherited from his father Jack Toretto Sr.. It is powered by a 7.2 liter V8 engine that boasts 450 horses (Dom modified to 900 hp). In the end of the first film, Dom's Charger is being wrecked by the dump truck while racing against his friend Brian O'Conner in his Toyota Supra. In Fast Five (2011), Luke Hobbs wrecked Dom's Charger, because Dom had stolen Reyes's chip. In the sixth film, Letty used Dom's Charger while racing Dom who raced in a Dodge Challenger. In Furious 7 (2015), Dom wrecks his Charger to stop Deckard Shaw from killing Dom and his crew. Deckard eventually prisoned at the end of the seventh film for causing death threats to Toretto family, before Deckard being escaped and released in the Fate Of The Furious (2017). Dominic Toretto also owns a new 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Red-Eye, as it used in ninth and tenth films.

2. 1996 Toyota Supra

The second generation of Toyota Supra is one of Brian O'Conner's signature cars. It was the last Supra to be produced until 2019, in which occassionally driven by Dom's brother Jakob in F9 (2021). Brian drove the car with Monica in the 2nd film after his Nissan Skyline being confiscated and taken by LAPD, since Brian himself retired as a cop and turned into federal agent.

3. Lykan Hypersport

One of the rarest production supercars/hypercars in history, the W Motors Lykan Hypersport is only limited to seven units, although one of them is being wrecked by Dom, Brian and Deckard in Furious 7 (2015). Assembled in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, UAE, the 2016 Lykan Hypersport is powered by a 3.7 L (3,746 cc) twin-turbocharged flat-6 engine developed by Ruf Automobile (Porsche's performance division), producing a (claimed) maximum power output of 552 kW (740 hp) at 7,100 rpm and 960 N⋅m (708 lb⋅ft) of torque at 4,000 rpm. The Lykan HyperSport was available with either a 6-speed sequential manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. The transmission is paired with a limited-slip differential and is mounted longitudinally at the rear of the car. The manufacturer claims a top speed of 395 km/h (245 mph), depending on the gear ratio setup. The car has claimed acceleration times of 2.9 seconds for 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) and 9.6 seconds for 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph), though no independent tests have been conducted. There was a demonstration of the car by W Motors in 2013 in Dubai, in which they claim to have recorded the car's performance. Its successor is the Fenyr Supersport, which began production since 2018 and limited to 100 units.

4. Koenigsegg Agera

The 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R is a car bought by Roman Pearce and Tej Parker after completing mission of stealing Hernan Reyes' money in Fast Five (2011). Roman bought the car after winning the offer from sheikhs in Abu Dhabi.

5. Honda Civic Type-R and Acura NSX

Even a woman/girl knows how to live fast. Mia Toretto and Letty Ortiz owned 2002 Acura NSX and Honda Civic Type-R, which they modified to 600 horses.

6. 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

The new GT500 has a supercharged motor based on the GT350's 5.2 L V8 block, but with a cross-plane crankshaft as opposed to a flat-plane crankshaft (as in GT350), which generates 760 hp (567 kW). The car is owned by Jakob, since being estranged by his brother Dom, opposite to Dom's 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye in the ninth film.

7. 2020 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe

The Jaguar F-Type R owned by UKSF member and MI6 agent Deckard Shaw and his sister Hattie, has a 5.0 L supercharged V8 rated at 575 PS (423 kW; 567 hp). It accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).

8. 2020 Audi S8

Another car owned by Deckard while using his Frank Martin persona. The Audi S8 is the performance version of the fourth and current generation Audi A8 (D5). The car powered by a 4,0 liter twin-turbocharged engine that produced 565 hp and 800 Nm.
