Celebrating 10th anniversary of Circuit Of The Americas

AUSTIN, TX – This weekend, Formula 1 heads to United States for the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas. Max Verstappen entered the race after the Dutchman Red Bull Racing driver snatched his 2nd world title at Japanese GP in Suzuka. The battle for 2nd place/championship runner-up is on the line between Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, with the Monegasque's teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. battling Mercedes drivers George Russell and Sir Lewis Hamilton for fourth place.

Circuit of The Americas is a 3.4 mile circuit designed by Hermann Tilke and constructed from 2009 until 2012. The circuit has hosted major motorsport events for over ten years since inaugurated in October 2012. The circuit also held music concerts during the race weekend. And to celebrate COTA's tenth anniversary in conjunction with the 2022 F1 US GP, the circuit held the 10th anniversary concert featuring special performance from Ed Sheeran and many more artists.

The circuit lap record is set by Alfa Romeo driver Valtteri Bottas in 2019 at 1:32.029 when he was onboard with his Mercedes-AMG W10 EQ Performance Plus.
