1. 2022 Belgian Grand Prix results: Verstappen's continuous dominance from 14th on the grid
SPA FRANCORCHAMPS – The 2022 Formula 1 world championship season resumes after a summer break, where reigning world champion Max Verstappen held an healthy eighty points lead ahead of his rival Charles Leclerc. Prior to the start of the Belgian Grand Prix, both Verstappen and Leclerc recieved grid penalties for converting new engines and power units respectively. Started 14th and 15th, both Verstappen and Leclerc were stuck by drivers and incidents ahead of them, but the Dutchman's Red Bull Racing RB18 jumps more multiple positions than Leclerc's Ferrari F1-75.
Safety car deployed due to seperate incidents involving seven-time world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and former two-time world champion Fernando Alonso (Alpine), as well as Valtteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo) and Nicholas Latifi (Williams), which caused Hamilton and Bottas (former Mercedes teammates) forced out of the race/DNF. In the incident involving Hamilton and Alonso, the Spaniard Alpine driver said on the team radio that "he (Hamilton) hit me" and it was Hamilton's fault.
After the safety car, the race continued, and Verstappen overtook any driver ahead of him and took the race lead by overtaking his teammate Sergio Perez. Meanwhile, on the final lap, Leclerc pitted for softs to steal Verstappen's fastest lap of the race, however he was distracted by Alonso who beats the Monegasque over the line. As the result of his pitting blunder, Leclerc finished 6th in the race and lost more crucial points.

P9 in Lap 1 then tear off in the brakes that causes front right brake overheating, have to stop to take off the tear off off the brakes, come back to P5, took a 5 seconds penalty for being too quick in pit lane because of a burnt sensor caused by the first issue. Victory once again goes to Verstappen, with Perez completed the Red Bull 1-2 finish. Leclerc's teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. fended off George Russell (Mercedes) to take third place. Verstappen heads into his home race at Zandvoort with a healthy 93-point lead.

2. McIlroy clinches third FedEx Cup title
ATLANTA, GA – Rory McIlroy came six shots behind leader Scottie Scheffler, and ended up won the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup title (the golf's ultimate prize) for the third time in his career. The Northern Irishman overcame his tough 2021-22 PGA Tour season into a sweet end. Now, McIlroy will focus to win DP World Tour Rankings and complete the grand slam by winning the Masters in 2023 (McIlroy finished 2nd in 2022).
