Oklahoma-state Korean-American singer AleXa wins 2022 American Song Contest
LOS ANGELES, CA – Korean-American singer-songwriter who based at Oklahoma state, Alexandra Christine Schneiderman, better known by her stage name AleXa, became the inaugural winner of American Song Contest, which is the American adaptation of Eurovision Song Contest. The grand final took place on May 9, where AleXa defeated singers from other states, including Connecticut's Grammy-winning singer Michael Bolton who is one of the show's early favorites. Colorado's Riker Lynch (former R5 band frontman) is the series' runner-up, and The Voice U.S. season 9 winner Jordan Smith from Kentucky in third place.

During the grand final, AleXa performed her new single, "Wonderland" in front of hosts Snopp Dogg (rapper) and Kelly Clarkson (singer-songwriter and music producer who won American Idol in 2002). The judges scored AleXa a total of 710 points (654 points based on public votes and 56 points from juries), 207-point advantage from runner-up Lynch.
AleXa is currently signed with Zanybros' label ZB Records. She was previously participated on Produce 48 in 2018, where she failed to debut with Iz*One after she was knocked out in show's early elimination round.
