Here are my favorite new releases for this week! (January 10-16)

1. Erika Tham - "Shhh"
Los Angeles-based Singaporean singer-songwriter Erika Tham returns with her new single "Shhh". The single, along with her previous single "Admit It" which released last October, will be part of her upcoming album which will be released some time in 2022. Tham is famously known with her lead role as Corki Chang in a popular teen drama Make It Pop (2015-16) which was aired on Nickelodeon. During an interview, Tham expected that her debut solo album will be released in summer 2022.


2. Momoland X Natti Natasha - "Yummy Yummy Love"
South Korean popular girl group Momoland collaborate with Latin singer Natti Natasha in a non-album duet single "Yummy Yummy Love". Momoland have been popular with their 2018 hit "Bboom Bboom", while Natti Natasha has been popular with her two albums: Iluminatti (2019) and her most recent album Nattividad (2021)

2024 MTV Video Music Awards winners list: Swift wins big again as Carpenter wins song of the year

Elmont, NY – The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards is the 41st annual running of the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) since its inaugural edition in 1984. It also marks the 40th anniversary of the VMAs. The 2024 edition held in UBS Arena in New York, was originally to be scheduled on Tuesday September 10, however the event pushed back one day to Wednesday September 11, the day after 2024 U.S. Presiential election's second debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. UBS Arena (pictured in 2021) hosted the 2024 MTV VMAs . The award night was once again dominated by megastar  Taylor Swift with seven award wins out of twelve nominations, including Best Artist, Best Pop, and Video Of The Year. With those wins, Swift has won more VMAs than anyone else in the VMA's 40-year history. Swift's 30 wins surpassed Beyonce Knowles's 27 wins.
