My favorite girls born in 1995

If in the previous article I talked about my favorite girl idols born in 1993 (not including Louriza Tronco at the time), in this article I will show my favorite girl idols nationally and internationally who born in 1995. They're turned 26 years old in 2021 and 27 in 2022.

A. International
1. Jisoo Kim

Jisoo Kim (born 3 January 1995) is a Korean female idol who signed by YG Entertainment. Jisoo has been currently being part of global sensation girl group Blackpink since its debut in 2016. Jisoo was born and raised in South Korea but she can speak Japanese and basic Chinese. Jisoo may be the eldest member of the group, but according to Jennie she is the mood maker due to her 4D personality.


2. Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa (born in August 22, 1995) is a British-American singer with Albanian accent. Dua Lipa rose her fame with her debut self titled album released in late 2017. The album features two lead singles "New Rules" and "IDGAF". Dua Lipa also collaborated with Korean female singers including Blackpink and Hwasa of Mamamoo. Her 2nd album, Future Nostalgia released in late 2020 with "Don't Start Now" and "Levitating" as top-charted lead singles.


3. Nayeon Im

Nayeon Im (born in September 22, 1995) is a South Korean female idol. She's best known as member of best-selling girl group Twice since debuted in 2015.

4. Hwasa

Hwasa (born as Ahn Hyejin on July 23, 1995) is a South Korean female idol. She's currently being part of a popular girl group Mamamoo since debuted in 2014.


5. Megan Lee

Megan Hyerin Lee (born September 18, 1995) is a Korean-American singer-songwriter and actress. She started to rose her fame by releasing her three debut singles in 2011: "Destiny", "Love Laugh and Live" and "In The Future". She's also contested in music audition programs such as Star Audition in South Korea (2011), and The Voice U.S. season 14 (2018), where she was initially being picked into Alicia Keys' team but lost her spot to Johnny Bliss. She made her lead role as Sun Hi Song in the popular two-season teen drama Make It Pop (2015-16) aired on Nickelodeon. She also joined by Erika Tham and Louriza Tronco to debut as new 'fictional' girl group called XO-IQ, which disbanded in 2016 following the series' production conclusion. In May 2019, Megan Lee released her debut mini-album I Am, all songs in the album are in English. Megan only released three Korean-language songs in 2014 when she was signed with Korean indie label owned by former boyband member Kim Taewoo.


6. Kim Nayoung

Kim Nayoung (born November 23, 1995) is a South Korean female idol. She is a former member of a disbanded girl group Gugudan from 2016 to 2020. She was also a contestant of Produce 101 in 2016 where she joined fellow trainees Sejeong and Mina, with Sejeong and Mina made the cut as I.O.I. member and Nayoung failed to make the cut.

7. Han Haebin

Han Haebin (born August 16, 1995 in Busan) is a South Korean female idol. She was also a former member of disbanded girl group Gugudan from 2016-2020.

8. Lim Nayoung

Lim Nayoung (born December 19, 1995) is a South Korean female idol who formerly joined two disbanded girl groups: I.O.I. in 2016-17, and Pristin in 2017-19. Lim is currently focused on her career as an actress.

B. Indonesian
1. Rachel Amanda

Rachel Amanda Aurora (born in Jakarta, Indonesia on January 1, 1995) is an Indonesian actress and singer of Javanese descent. Rachel rose her fame in 2007 when making her lead role in a drama Candy. Since then, she made some main roles in other dramas and films from 2008 until 2016.


2. Chelsea Islan

Chelsea Elizabeth Islan (born 2 June 1995) is an Indonesian actress, model, and activist. She has received two consecutive Citra Award nominations in the Best Actress category for Di Balik 98 (2015) and Rudy Habibie (2016) 

She made her feature film debut in the 2013 drama film Refrain alongside Afgansyah Reza and Maudy Ayunda before achieving mainstream success with the action film Street Society and the biographical film Merry Riana: Mimpi Sejuta Dolar as well as the sitcom Tetangga Masa Gitu in 2014.

Before this, in 2005, she had starring Wall's ice cream commercial.

She appeared opposite Boy William in the historical drama Di Balik 98 in 2015 and another biographical drama Rudy Habibie in 2016. Both roles garnered Chelsea consecutive nominations at the 2015 and 2016 Citra Awards in the Best Actress category, which she lost to Tara Basro (A Copy of My Mind) and Cut Mini (Athirah) respectively.

For her role in the 2016 biopic film 3 Srikandi, Chelsea won the 2016 Maya Award for Best Supporting Actress, the 2017 Indonesian Movie Award for Favorite Supporting Actress, as well as a Best Actress Award at the 2016 Bandung Film Festival. Also in 2016, she appeared as a doctor in the Mo Brothers' action film Headshot.

She was cast in the lead role of Alfie for Timo Tjahjanto's solo directorial debut May the Devil Take You, which was released in 2018 to critical and commercial success. She reprised the role in the 2020 sequel May the Devil Take You Too and is set to appear in the third insallment May the Devil Take You: Dajjal.

Chelsea has appeared in multiple commercials for brands such as L'Oreal, Garnier, Tokopedia, Pizza Hut, Oppo, Magnum, Rexona, and Matahari Department Store.


3. Anya Geraldine

Anya Geraldine (born December 15, 1995) is a Indonesian actress and model who famously known with her role as Hanna in the 2020 Indonesian adaptation of American popular teen drama Pretty Little Liars. Anya is also featured on Rizky Febian's music video as Rizky's love interest.
