2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs preview

The 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs is an upcoming series of three knockout tournaments held by the PGA Tour since its first edition in 2007. Those three playoff tournaments scheduled for the 2021 FedEx Cup Playoffs are:

- The Northern Trust (Jersey, New Jersey)
- BMW Championship (Owings Mills, Maryland)
- The Tour Championship (Atlanta, Georgia)

Brandt Snedeker became the 2012 FedEx Cup champion.

Rory McIlroy (pictured in 2015) won the FedEx Cup twice in 2016 and 2019.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs will started by top 125 qualified players (based on the FedEx Cup standings after Wyndham Championship) to enter The Northern Trust. The top 70 finishers will advanced to the next tournament, the BMW Championship. The top 30 will battle for the US$ 15 million winning prize at the season-ending tournament, the Tour Championship. The FedEx Cup champion will also recieve a ten-year exemption status on the PGA Tour.
