2023 year in review: Kim Sejeong

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – Singer-songwriter and actress Kim Sejeong has had the busiest year in 2023: acting, releasing music, and becoming ambassador of fashion brands. In this article, we recap every section of Sejeong's activities throughout 2023.

1. Acting

After success taking main roles in Business Proposal and Today's Webtoon in 2022, Sejeong continues her acting breakthrough by starring in the season 2 of Uncanny Counter, where she reprised her role as Do Hana, one of the four counters who continued to revenge against demons whose possesed every human. The role earned her two awards at 2023 Asia Artist Awards for Best Actor and Actress Popularity Award categories. Later in December, she debuted as a theater/musical actress in the play Temple.

2. Music

On September 4, Sejeong released her album Door. The album features two singles "Top Or Cliff" and "Voyage".

The songs from her album Door (similar to Dove Cameron's Alchemical) are mostly written by Sejeong herself. To promote the album, she embarked her concert tour across Asia-Pacific countries.

3. Fashion

Sejeong's modeling career throughout 2023 is also outstanding. In 2023, she became the first Asian global ambassador for the French luxury brand Longchamp. She's also modeled for other fashion brands such as Julie's Choice and Roem.
