Anisa Rahma Adi vs. Melody Nurramdhani Laksani: Two (formerly) muslim members of Indonesian girl groups
Anisa Rahma Adi and Melody Nurramdhani Laksani were having experience of becoming muslim member of Indonesian rising girl groups: Anisa joined Cherrybelle, while Melody joined JKT48.
1. Anisa Rahma Adi
Anisa was born on October 12, 1990 in Bandung, West Java. She's the youngest of four sisters. One of her older sisters, Adinda, is also a singer.
In February 2011, Anisa debuted as a member of girl group Cherrybelle, alongside eight other members. The group released their debut mini-album "Love Is You" in July that year.
In June 2013, Cherrybelle released their 2nd mini-album "Diam-Diam Suka". Later that year, it was reported that Anisa will parting ways from the group to focus on her solo career.
Anisa released her solo singles since 2015, before she got married in 2017. She's also became the fashion designer since leaving Cherrybelle.
2. Melody Nurramdhani Laksani
Melody was born on March 24, 1992 in Bandung, West Java. She has two siblings: her older sister and her younger sister. Her younger sister, Frieska, is also a member of JKT48.
Melody and her younger sister Frieska debuted with JKT48 in 2011. In 2013, Melody was elected as a captain for teams J and KIII, where she held her position until her graduation in March 2018. She currently holds her position as General Manager of JKT48 Theater since August 2015.
After graduating from JKT48, Melody married with her longtime high school friend. Melody currently still holds her general manager position (replacing the predecessor Mr. Jiro Inao, who died in 2017), while her younger sister Frieska, who's still member of JKT48 for team J. According to her Twitter/Instagram bio, Melody currently holds her position as goodwill ambassador for Japan-Indonesia on food and agriculture since 2019.
