MELBOURNE ā The sold-out Rod Laver Arena spectators witnessed their favorite player Ashleigh Barty winning her maiden Australian Open title, as the Australian defeated American underdog Danielle Collins in two sets (6-3, 7-6). The world No.1 became the first home winner of the Australian Open since Chris OāNeil in Kooyong in 1978.
